EUROHORCs selects new President and Vice Presidents
Dieter Imboden, SNFS, was elected new President of the EUROHORCs at the General Assembly in Vienna on 8 October. Leszek Borysiewicz, MRC, and Arnold Migus, CNRS, were elected Vice Presidents.

EUROHORCs at ESOF 2008 in Barcelona
For the first time EUROHORCs participated as an exhibitor at the European Science Forum, ESOF. More than 4000 took part in over 100 sessions held in Barcelona on July 18-22

EUROHORCs and ESF commit to play key role in shaping a competitive ERA
In an effort to help build a competitive European Research Area (ERA), the European Heads of Research Councils (EUROHORCs) and the European Science Foundation (ESF) have published their vision on the ERA and have joined forces in a Road Map with proposed actions to achieve it.

EUROHORCs`Recommendation on Open Access
The General Assembly of EUROHORCs has agreed to recommend a minimal standard regarding Open Access to its Member Organisations. EUROHORCs acknowledges at the same time that some MOs have adopted stricter rules already.
