New President and Vice Presidents

Dieter Imboden Arnold Migus Leszek Borysiewicz

Dieter Imboden (SNSF, Switzerland), Arnold Migus (CNRS, France) and Leszek Borysiewicz (MRC, UK) took up their positions as President and Vice Presidents of EUROHORCs in January 2009.

As their main goal for the coming years they describe the realisation of the ESF/EUROHORCs Road Map to excellence in science in Europe. To the Presidency, of special importance are to further develop the cooperation among EUROHORCs member organisations, to ensure high-quality research infrastructures and to negotiate a reasonable Open Access agreement between EUROHORCs member organisations and the major scientific publishers. The President and the Vice Presidents are looking forward to working together with all members of EUROHORCs to contribute to shaping the European Research Area.
