New EUROHORCs Member: Leibniz Association, Germany

The Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Association, Germany has been invited to become a member of EUROHORCs. The Leibniz Association is an interest group of 86 small and medium-size independent, state-financed research institutes, covering a wide spectrum of scientific areas, from the arts and humanities and arts, social and political sciences to life science and medicine, environmental sciences and mathematics.

The research institutions of the Leibniz Association address scientific issues that are important to society. They provide infrastructure for science and research and perform research-based services for the public, policy makers academia and business. All institutes at Leibniz undergo an external evaluation every seven years which looks at the scientific quality of the work performed and also at the relevance of the institute’s mission for the German research landscape.
